BIA BOARD OF MANAGEMENT MINUTES

Prescott Public Library

Present – Chair Lisa Smith, Cynthia Kinghorn, Beth Morris, Bob Miller, Brett Todd, Ray Young and James Richardson.

Regrets –Dayna Earl, Krista King Holmes and Bob Pelda

Chair Lisa Smith called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm.

It was moved by Bob Miller and seconded by Cynthia Kinghorn that the Minutes of May 28, 2008 be approved. Carried.

Chair’s Report – No report

Vice Chair’s Report – No report

Town of Prescott Report – Brett Todd reported that the BIA’s funding request for the watering of the hanging baskets was discussed at the Committee meetings.

Correspondence – None

EVENTS –

Harbour Days – The last details were discussed regarding Harbour Days events.
Music is booked and the fire truck was not available. All other details have been taken care of.
Further discussion was held regarding the Summer Splash Dance featuring Healy & Orr.
All final details have been taken care of.
In addition, discussion was held regarding the BIA providing 3 gift certificates fot the Prescott Idol contest.
It was moved by Brett Todd and seconded by Ray Young, that we provide 3 - $25.00 gift certificates for Prescott Idol.

BlueNose Visit – Last minute details were discussed regarding the BlueNose visit from June 16-18 and June 24-26.

Talent By the Tower – James reported that he has secured some more activities and events for the Children. James also discussed the possibility of rain that day, and that perhaps the BIA look into purchasing tents. This had been discussed earlier in the year.

Pirates Days – No report
